Genesis 26:2 “And the LORD appeared unto him, and said Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:”

In times of famine, the key thing we need is divine intervention and instructions. Isaac became a wealthy man inspite of famine simply because these two things happened to him.

If there is a prayer we need to pray often, it is that of divine interventions. When God steps into the scene, he dispels famine. God is a carrier of solutions and the solution Himself!

When God showed up for Isaac, he didn’t do a miracle, He simply gave him some instructions. The inability to sit, hear instructions and follow them is the bane of many believers. The Bible is simply a book loaded with instructions.

Friend, the help of God are loaded in His instructions. God cannot help a man beyond the instructions he is willing to obey and adhere to. God doesn’t do magic, He does miracles. One key difference between the two are instructions. Hear this:

Deuteronomy 28:1 “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:”

Deuteronomy 28:2 “And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.”

Once you follow His instructions, famine will disappear of its own accord. The issue with many of us is that in the time of famine, we are more focused on the famine than on His instructions.

As long as our attention is on the famine, it will remain. Immediately Isaac received the instruction, he concentrated on carrying them out and completely lost sight of the famine. In a matter of time, the famine left him alone.

The Bible is a collection of His instructions, search it to end the famine in any area of your life.
