BLAMING GOD-1

BLAMING GOD-1
Ruth 1:20 “And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.”

Ruth 1:21 “I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?”

When men run into trouble or experience a not too palatable situation, the first thing a natural man does is to trade blames. Men always look for who to blame and they blame everybody but themselves.

It is always very difficult for a man to admit his fault. This behavior started from the Garden of Eden when man fell. God asked the man why he disobeyed him and Adam was quick to blame his wife. Eve in turn blamed the serpent. Nobody agreed they were wrong.

The most appalling thing however is that most people always drop the whole blame on God. Many opined that since God is in control of the whole world he must be blamed for every misfortune and disorder.

Naomi also toed this line. She blamed God for all her misfortunes. She said God has dealt very bitterly with her. She said she went out full and God brought her back empty, in order words, God killed her husband and sons. She also said God testified against her and afflicted her!

Beloved, this woman forgot that they left God! She forgot that they left a blessed place for a cursed place. God is omnipresent, man is not. We are not expected to be everywhere. We must only move at his prompting. One major weapon the enemy uses against us is disobedience. Naomi and her household disobeyed God by going to Moab which puts them at the mercy of the devil.

I want you to know that God is good. He doesn’t put evil on us neither does he afflict us. Hear these:

Luke 18:19 “And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.”
