WEARY OUT THE OPPOSITION-1
Ruth 1:18 “When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.”

Ruth 1:18 “When Naomi saw that Ruth had her heart set on going with her, she gave in.” (MSG)

Ruth 1:18 “When Naomi saw that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped trying to persuade her.” (HCSB)

Naomi, Orpah and Ruth set out for Judah but only two of them arrived. Ruth refused to turn back. Naomi did all she could to stop her but she simply refused to be stopped. She was simply immovable.

Friend, concerning your purpose and vision in life and destiny, how resolved are you to achieving them? Concerning that long awaited miracle, what is your disposition?

I’ve come to discover that you can weary out your opposition. It might take time but consistent drops of water can dissolve the highest mountain in the world. Your diehard resolve is a weapon that can dislodge any enemy no matter their capacity.

Naomi stood on the way of Ruth and did all in the book to discourage her but she stood steadfast. I guess some of the thoughts in the mind of Naomi was: this lady will be a liability. I’m broke and don’t know where the next meal is coming from but Ruth had already made up her mind to die with Naomi if need be.

You must develop this same capacity if you want to go far in life. One fear you must overcome is the fear of death. You must get to a place where your vision is bigger than your fears. You must develop a diehard commitment to your purpose.

No force on earth is big enough to intimidate or stop a resolute man. Goliath looked very intimidating but when a young David whose heart was determined and set to get the king’s prize showed up, Goliath bowed!

Friend, we don’t quit or run from a fight, we face it headlong and win in grand style.
