TRAVEL WITH RUTH
TRAVEL WITH RUTH
Ruth 1:16 “And Ruth said Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest I will go and where thou lodgest I will lodge thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:”
Naomi, Orpah and Ruth set out for Judah but only two of them arrived. Ruth refused to turn back despite being entreated to do so. The truth is that the only person that could have traveled with Naomi and arrive Judah safely was Ruth.
Ruth was a very unique character and in our journey in life and destiny, we all need a Ruth. As a matter of fact, if you don’t have a Ruth, you’ll be in trouble. The name Ruth means, friend, companion, to keep company with, and a close associate.
Beloved, the journey of life and destiny is not all rosy and smooth, there will be some dry patches here and there. Times of weariness and discouragement will come but your company will determine if you’ll safely arrive at your destination or not.
Hear this:
Proverbs 18:24 “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.”
The friend here is the Holy Ghost. You need Him more than any other. He is God personified. Your ability to work and walk with Him determines how far you’ll go in this race. You must know how to hear Him, obey Him and follow Him. He is not a lesser God, He is God Himself working with us in this dispensation. That is your very first Ruth.
Another Ruth you need is a trusted ally who can stick with you through thick and thin, may you meet them. It is wisdom to always do a review of your close associates from time to time.
You must be able to eliminate the Orphas and be more committed and loyal to your Ruths. That’s one of the secrets of success on the journey of life and destiny.
