Ruth 1:3 “And Elimelech Naomi’s husband died and she was left and her two sons.”

Ruth 1:4 “…they dwelled there about ten years.”

Ruth 1:5 “And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.”

…From yesterday…

Friend, every sojourn away from God is a sojourn into disaster. Never make a move unless God is involved. Don’t leave Jerusalem (House of Bread) for Moab (cursed place). Don’t let the enemy turn a sojourn which is temporary into something permanent for you.

The intent of the enemy is to make sure you don’t return but don’t bow to him. Watch the way you skip spiritual exercises: dodging your prayers, studying the word, meditation and worshipping God because you’re very busy or rushing out is a sojourn into Moab.

That the grass seems greener on the other side doesn’t change Moab to Jerusalem. There are spiritual activities that must remain obligatory in your life, you don’t negotiate or tone them down. Your daily fellowship must remain fixed and never compromised.

Your spiritual antennas must be sharp to pick up every sojourn of disaster. Those so called “little sins”, “white lies” and the like are sojourns with lethal consequences, beware!

Remember Lot:

Genesis 13:10 “And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.”

Genesis 13:11 “Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.”

Lot did exactly what Elemelech did, as a matter of fact he left the Promised Land and became the progenitor of Moab! His sojourn ended in ruins; the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

I pray for you today, your sojourn will not end in disaster. The enemy will not make evil permanent in your life in Jesus name.

Love you BiG
