WHY MOAB-1

WHY MOAB-1
Ruth 1:1 “Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.”

Friend, you must be very careful where and who you get help from. Truly there was famine in the land of Bethlehem-Judah but that was not enough reason for this man to move his family to Moab.

Bethlehem-Judah was the Promised Land and God calls it a land flowing with milk and honey. That you don’t presently experience milk and honey where God has located you doesn’t give you the impetus to leave there. You must know that for God to have located you there simply means He has your allocation at that location.

Money and prosperity are geographical. Once you get to your divine location, settle down and ask God to show you the milk and honey there. God does not send his people to empty places!

This man unfortunately didn’t learn from history. In that same land, there was famine when our progenitor (Abraham) got there, he ran straight to Egypt to get respite and he nearly lost his life, wife and eventually left there with Hagar who nearly ruined his life and family.

In that same land, Isaac also experienced famine and wanted leaving but God asked him to stay back. He indeed stayed back and got a revelation that didn’t just bail him out of famine but made him the richest man in the land despite famine.

There were so many places this man could have gone to but he chose Moab! I strongly believe that the day he made up his mind and headed for Moab was the day he signed his death warrant. Hear this:

Deuteronomy 23:3 “An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:”
