TROPHY AFTER THE FIGHT
1Samuel 17:53 “And the children of Israel returned from chasing after the Philistines, and they spoiled their tents.”

1Samuel 17:54 “And David took the head of the Philistine, and brought it to Jerusalem; but he put his armour in his tent.”

At the other side of every battle is a trophy. A trophy, also called souvenir or spoil is a reward or an award given in acknowledgment of a victory, success, or some other achievements.

Somebody said, “Warfare always surround the best of miracles”. My spiritual father also said, “Without warfare there can’t be welfare”. How true!

Friend, you will never have what you’re not willing to confront. All through scriptures we see several instances of men taking trophies after warfare. As early as in the days of Abraham, war has always been a key that open the door to trophies and treasures.

Genesis 14:14 “And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.”

Genesis 14:15 “And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night, and smote them, and pursued them unto Hobah…”

Genesis 14:16 “And he brought back all the goods, and also brought again his brother Lot, and his goods, and the women also, and the people.”

Battles are fought to maintain and keep what we have been given. We also fight to take what we have been promised and to take our things that are in the hands of the enemy. Paul admonished Timothy:

1Timothy 1:18 “This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;”

Friend, to get all you have been promised, you need to put up a fight. You can fight on your kneels in prayer; fight by declaring the word of God, fasting, giving, praising and worshiping God.

Every one of those ordinances are weapons in the arsenal of a believer, use them!
