THEY WILL KNOW MY NAME-1

THEY WILL KNOW MY NAME-1
1Samuel 17:55 “And when Saul saw David go forth against the Philistine, he said unto Abner, the captain of the host, Abner, whose son is this youth? And Abner said As thy soul liveth, O king, I cannot tell”

1Samuel 17:56 “And the king said Enquire thou whose son the stripling is.”

1Samuel 17:57 “And as David returned from the slaughter of the Philistine, Abner took him, and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.”

1Samuel 17:58 “And Saul said to him, Whose son art thou, thou young man? And David answered I am the son of thy servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.”

To think that King Saul doesn’t really know much about David is both appalling and shocking. David had been his personal aid for quite some time, if not years before this encounter and yet he never bothered to find out about him. It simply means Saul cared less about him.

David was Saul’s armour bearer and personal spiritual physician (1Samuel 16:17-23) who cast out demons from him and played him good music but yet the young lad didn’t mean much to him.

Friend, learn this lesson; don’t ever be a man or woman who doesn’t care about people under you and around you. Don’t let the relationship be all about what you can get from them. Know them, show them love and let them know you appreciate what they’re doing for you and around you.

That aside, I have news for you; presently men and women might not appreciate you and your father’s name might be nothing to be reckoned with, but if you can only do what David did, it’s a matter of time you’ll have a household name.

Make up your mind to be the one that will give credence to your family name and make it global. What did David do? He killed a giant!

When you become a giant killer, sons of men will naturally want to know you and associate with you. Nobody want to associate with a failure.

To be continued…

Love you BiG
