PREPARE TO BE SCORNED-1

PREPARE TO BE SCORNED-1
1Samuel 17:42 “And when the Philistine looked about and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.”

The stage at which many people abandon their dreams is that stage when the enemy begins to poke fun at them. I want you to know that getting ridiculed, disparaged, sneered or scorned is simply a demonic strategy to make us give up on our assignment in life.

Goliath has been using this strategy on the whole army of Israel for forty days and forty nights to great effect. He probably thought he will be able to use it on David as well, so he threw it at David not knowing that the young man is well prepared for his antics.

Friend, when you want to attempt something great in life and destiny, the enemy will make you develop a very poor opinion of yourself. He will intimidate you with inferiority complex. Once he succeeds in getting you into that corner, you lose out.

The enemy might not come out at you directly to let you know he was ridiculing you, he will whisper it to you gently. Somebody I know wanted going for a big job interview and have passed all the preliminary stages but on getting to the last stage, other applicants asked who her god-father is?

She said she has none but God Almighty and they laughed at her and mocked her. They told her everybody there has a letter from high places! She said she only has a heavenly Father and they laughed some more; to cut the long story short she got the job ahead of them.

Many people could have mentally given up at that stage and lose to the enemy but not this lady. Goliath will always try to ridicule us, it is part of the enemy’s war strategy and you must know it.

The enemy will tell you why you’re not qualified for what you want. The devil will tell you that God cannot give you because you’re a sinner.

To be continued…
