CHOOSE YOUR STONES-4
1Samuel 17:40 “And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag which he had…”

Jeremiah 23:29 “Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces”

Should in case the Goliath confronting you needs to melt by fire, the word is up to the task. If the challenge is the very hard type, congratulations; the word is hammer! You can convert it to whatever weapon you need. David didn’t go to battle without it because he knew these truths!

What stones do I choose?

You must know that the scripture or the word of God was authoured by the Holy Spirit, the very Spirit of God. To carefully choose your stones you need His assistance. If you don’t know Him, reading the word will not make sense. You need Him to know which stones to choose as occasion requires.

There were so many stones in the “brook” that day but David just supernaturally knew the five smooth stones to pick, that can bring down the giant’s head. I believe strongly that he picked those specific stones relevant to the occasion.

My spiritual father said, “David picked the stones from the brook. If you remove ‘r’ from brook you’ll have book!” So, he carefully chose words from the book, the Holy Bible ofcourse.

Beloved, whenever you want to confront a Goliath, you must meticulously choose your stones. There are different stones for different “Goliaths”.

When you’re sick and you go to the hospital, the doctor takes out time to listen to you carefully before recommending appropriate drugs or his own version of “stones”.

He won’t give you a medicine meant to cure headache for a stomach disorder. Therefore, whenever a Goliath confront you, go to the Holy Spirit and let him hear you out and help you choose your smooth stones!

That Goliath can become history when you cast the stone!
