CHOOSE YOUR STONES-2
1Samuel 17:40 “And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd’s bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.”

If God is not part of your building block and stones you’re sure wasting your time!

So how do I choose Jesus (stone) the way David did?

To pick the stone which is Jesus is simply picking the Word! These stones are simply the word of God:

John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

John 1:2 “The same was in the beginning with God.”

John 1:3 “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made”

The stone is Jesus and he is the word. Choosing stones is simply going into the Bible and carefully selecting the words; book, chapter and verses to confront situations with. Picking stones is picking Bible verses.

God will not do anything outside the scope of His word. His word is His bound. God loves speaking. He created the world by speaking:

Genesis 1:3 “And God said Let there be light: and there was light.”

Hebrews 11:3 “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear”

God created the world via words. Everything He spoke came to pass. He said and He saw.

He held and He’s still holding the world together by His words:

Hebrews 1:3 “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, AND UPHOLDING ALL THINGS BY THE WORD OF HIS POWER, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;”

Hebrews 1:3 “This Son perfectly mirrors God, and is stamped with God’s nature. HE HOLDS EVERYTHING TOGETHER BY WHAT HE SAYS–POWERFUL WORDS!…” (MSG)
