1Samuel 17:38 “And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.”

1Samuel 17:39 “And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.”

…From yesterday…

Saul also refused to give David a shoe or footwear. Paul likened the shoe to the gospel of peace. The ultimate of the gospel for the believer here on earth is dominion. Our feet is our implement of dominion.

Joshua 1:3 “Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.”

Your foot is for dominion! God knew and gave the Israelites that instruction. David knew this and guess what he did immediately Goliath fell:

1Samuel 17:51 “Therefore DAVID RAN AND STOOD upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead they fled”

David ran and stood upon him! He placed his feet upon him, moving into a position of dominion.

Have a mindset of a warrior, dominate your sphere of influence. Don’t let the enemy cheat you. Your feet matters, when you get to a new region stamp your feet in authority and dominion. Have the mentality of a champion. Once you step upon a place, take it over.

The third thing Saul refused to give David was a shield. A shield represents faith. Let’s listen to Paul again:

Ephesians 6:16 “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.”

The devil technically didn’t want Saul to give this one to David the same way he is doing to us today.

Friend, fiery darts of the devil keeps flying each day and moment.

To be continued…
