1Samuel 17:38 “And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.”
1Samuel 17:39 “And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.”
One of the Satan’s greatest offensive strategy is deception and lies.
John 8:44 “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
All through scriptures one notable thing about the devil is deception. He deceived Eve and since then the human race has been in a mess. He has not changed strategy and will come against you with this weapon.
The only defense against lie is truth. The truth makes you move freely when you wear it on your waist to tie everything together. David after putting on the armour of Saul couldn’t even move at all as seen in our focal scripture because it was all full of lies.
The clothing Saul placed on him were all lies! If it were not lies Saul should have wore them to combat Goliath himself.
Friend, be weary of the lies and the devil. Don’t let the enemy pervert the scripture for you. Don’t fall for his deceptive tricks. Those are his strategies.
The devil can either tell you an outright lies, pervert a truth or deceive you. The only thing that is constant is the truth. Until you learn the truth and stand by it, the devil will take advantage of you.
If God says by reason of what Christ did you’re rich, healed and forgiven, you must not allow the Devil tell you otherwise.
