1Samuel 17:39 “And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.”

…From yesterday…

2Corinthians 10:4 “(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)”

2Corinthians 10:5 “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

The type of fight we are involved with is strategically designed and orchestrated by the devil and we must understand how to skillfully divide the word of God and use it against him.

The devil came up strong against Jesus in Matthew chapter 4, mark you, Jesus is the word of God personified. Jesus didn’t use any other weapon but the word. He had to use the weapon of the word against the adversary.

If Jesus the word used the word, you have no excuse. That simply means you must know the word, master the word and confess the word. It is the confession of the word in faith that turns it into a weapon that brings the devil to his knees!

David had so much sword in his heart and mouth that he doesn’t need that of Saul. He went and spoke the words of God against Goliath and he went home with the head of the giant as a trophy.

Each time you speak the word in faith, you collect the head of Goliath, so keep saying it, don’t ever stop. Use the sword in your mouth, it is sharper than any two-edged sword the enemy might be using against you.

Goliath used the sword of the flesh for forty days and the children of Israel kept running, David appeared with the sword of God and under thirty minutes Goliath was history.

Don’t let the enemy keep wasting your time, use your sword!
