PROPER DRESSING FOR WAR: SWORD-2
PROPER DRESSING FOR WAR: SWORD-2
1Samuel 17:38 “And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.”
1Samuel 17:39 “And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.”
…From yesterday…
In the physical you take and receive things with your hands but in the realm of the spirit, you use your mouth. King Saul gave David what to say but the young man “put them off”.
Friend, don’t go to battle with the incantations of the diviner, neither go with the proverbs and wise sayings of your people, those words have no weight in spiritual warfare.
It is not proverbs and motivational sayings you should be cramming, those are mere words. Demons and principalities have no regards for such word. Saul and his men were busy “talking” or using their swords for forty days and the harassment from Goliath didn’t stop. The giant didn’t even shift ground rather they kept running.
If the words or sword of Saul could defeat the giant, why didn’t he do it before the arrival of David? It shows that even Saul had no real trust in his sword.
Beloved, it’s high time you step up, wise up and get familiar with the right sword. Apostle Paul told us exactly what to do:
Ephesians 6:17 “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:”
We need a sword that can go into the realm of the spirit and make things happen and that sword is the word of God! You can’t be fighting a spiritual warfare with a physical weapon. Hear this:
Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
