1Samuel 17:38 “And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.”

1Samuel 17:39 “And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.”

…From yesterday…

Friend, if you will survive the critical battles of life, you must repent and cover your head with the helmet of salvation!

Going with the helmet of brass will spell doom. I love the way Paul put it here:

Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Saul and his army wore the helmet of brass and were thinking “earthly” but David showed up with the helmet of salvation, thinking “heavenly” and because “he that is from above is above all” (John 3:31), he conquered the giant Goliath with a different mindset.

The helmet of salvation brings your thought pattern to that of God. Things that defeats people no longer defeat you. Hear this:

Matthew 19:26 “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”

Mark 9:23 “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe all things are possible to him that believeth”

Matthew 17:20 “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

Jesus kept doing the impossible because he had his head well covered with the helmet of salvation. David did same.

If you can take your salvation journey serious, every Goliath that confront you will meet their Waterloo.

Friend, remove your helmet of brass!

Love you BiG
