1Samuel 17:37 “David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go and the LORD be with thee.”
I kept on wondering where this young man, David, kept rolling out his answers from. He just seems to have the right words always. Nothing took him aback. It was as if he had everything well-rehearsed. Well, that’s what the Holy Spirit can do in the life of a man.
One wisdom to borrow from David here is that when confronted by Saul, roll out your testimonies. A Saul might judge you from the surface, tell him what God did for you when no man was there!
A wise man said; “A testimony is what God did and what you did that made Him do what he did for you”. Show Saul what transpired between you and God when no one was watching. Testimonies are secret transactions between a man and His Maker which produces a public result.
It doesn’t matter what is confronting you now or in the future, there is something God has done for you in the past that can silence whatever the enemy is throwing at you now. Such is the power of a testimony. Hear this:
Revelations 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony…”
John the Beloved showed us in the passage above what David had used several years earlier. Friend, I want you to sit back and take stock of the year 2018, think and write down everything the Lord has done for you. They are ammunitions for you in the days ahead.
David shared his testimony, Saul kept quiet. In Revelations 12:11, they shared testimony and the devil gave up.
As this year draws to a close, keep sharing your testimonies. It will silence men and the devil in the days ahead! Don’t stop saying them, Selah!
