1Samuel 17:37 “…And Saul said unto David, Go and the LORD be with thee.”

1Samuel 17:38 “And Saul armed David with his armour, and he put an helmet of brass upon his head; also he armed him with a coat of mail.”

1Samuel 17:39 “And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.”

…From yesterday…

I want you to know that there are two patterns of thought in man. The Saul and the David thinking patterns. Both believes in God but one believe God is absolutely enough while the other feels “we still need to give God a helping hand”.

Friend that was exactly what Saul did. He told David; “…Go and the LORD be with thee.” You’ll think that will be all but all of a sudden, he called David back and put his armour on him, obviously trying to help God.

But, glory be to God; David put them off. David has learnt by experience while facing the lion and the bear that you don’t need armour, God is enough!

Friend, God is all you need to successfully navigate this great year. You must build your confidence to a level where you know and believe beyond every reasonable doubt that God is all you need.

The presence of the Lord is your defense, guide, protection and help in the journey of life, no wonder Moses said:

Exodus 33:14 “And he said My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest”

Exodus 33:15 “And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.”

Moses knew that there will be Red sea, the Amalekites, drought, hunger and even invisible dangers ahead in the journey. You don’t wear physical armour against those elements, you simply need God.

So, beloved, for the journey of 2019, “Go and the LORD be with thee.”

Love you BiG
