1Samuel 17:31 “And when the words were heard which David spake they rehearsed them before Saul: and he sent for him.”

…From yesterday…

Joseph went ahead and solved problems for the chief butler even while in jail:

Genesis 40:20 “And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.”

Genesis 40:21 “And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again and he gave the cup into Pharaoh’s hand:”

Joseph kept solving problems until finally the king sent for him:

Genesis 41:14 “Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.”

Psalms 105:20 “The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free”

David must have studied the story of Joseph so well. He kept referring to it and the sojourn of the children of Israel in Egypt and in the wilderness in his Psalms. I presume he took time to read their history and asked questions.

Armed with that information, he got ready for the king to send for him as well. He knew that as long as a man is diligent and focused the king will send for him. While killing the lion and the bear, he did it wholeheartedly knowing full well that the king will someday send for him!

Friend, are you diligent enough to attract the king’s attention?

I pray for you today; the kings and nobles that matters to your destiny will send for you. People in high places will require your services in Jesus name.

One thing to note also is that, when the king send for you, no prison door can keep you down. He sent for Joseph and the prison keeper released him.

The king’s invitation is releasing you from every jail of life in Jesus name!

Love you BiG
