SIGNIFICANT AND INSIGNIFICANT BATTLES-3
1Samuel 17:28 “And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab’s anger was kindled against David, and he said Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.”
Another way to differentiate between both battles is that the significant ones will always be spiritual in nature while the insignificant will be laden with sensual and emotions of men.
The strategy is to bring you from the spiritual to the physical plane. No wonder Paul said:
Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
In every battle, there is a spiritual side and a physical side. Most times the physical side involves humans throwing arrows at your emotions, getting set to fight you physically, abusing you verbally and so on. Those are simply emotions.
You discover for instance that each time you want to attempt something great that will cause you to go forward, somebody shows up to discourage and frustrate you. He’ll abuse you, and talk you out of it. You should know that is an Eliab especially if it keeps reoccurring.
Your child keeps fighting in class, disturbing the entire school and probably failing his or her exams. The general reaction of parents is to “scold” the child, make him serve some form of punishments and probably threaten him. If you keep going on that plane the enemy will always defeat you.
Friend, it is time to act smarter and wiser than the enemy. Get down on your knees on behalf of that child and take authority over the demon or spirit causing the misbehavior!
He is not just been a nuisance, there is a spirit to bind. Quit using physical weapons against spiritual forces.
To be continued…
