1Samuel 17:28 “And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab’s anger was kindled against David, and he said Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wildernesses? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart...”

…From yesterday…

How can I differentiate between the significant and insignificant battles of life?

A very easy way of differentiating between the two battles is by sitting down to calculate the prize or reward that each battle attracts or brings with it.

David understood that fighting and winning an argument with his elder brother on the battlefield will probably just give him a few accolades and then a sending off from the battlefield.

Winning the fight with Goliath on the other hand will give him the following:

1Samuel 17:25 “And the men of Israel said Have ye seen this man that is come up surely to defy Israel is he come up and it shall be, that the man who killeth him, THE KING WILL ENRICH HIM WITH GREAT RICHES, and will GIVE HIM HIS DAUGHTER, and MAKE HIS FATHER’S HOUSE FREE IN ISRAEL.” (Emphasis mine).

Those are three powerful rewards as compared to fighting Eliab. In order words, he’ll become wealthy, get married to the King’s daughter and set his generation free from taxes and slavery.

The question is, all these battles you’re involved with, what are the attendant rewards?

Like I said earlier, if you win an argument against your husband, pastor or children what will that earn you as compared to winning one with the devil and demons troubling you?

Many people don’t understand this powerful principle and as such the devil has kept them in perpetual slavery. You must know the differences between the battles confronting you.

Have you sat down to consider what you stand to gain in what you’re currently dealing with? It is the strategy of the enemy to keep the reward away from you, beware!

To be continued…
