DEFENDING A CAUSE

1Samuel 17:29 “And David said What have I now done Is there not a cause?”

What will help you defeat the Eliab’s of this world is a die-hard commitment to a cause. A cause is a reason or a purpose. It is the driving force behind champions. The air that great achievers breath.

A cause is the reason why God decides to release you into the world. Until you know your “cause”, you are just existing not living. A cause is what makes something happen. You will not go far in life and destiny until you know the reason why the creator send you here at a time like this.

David knew he didn’t find himself at the warfront for the fun of it, he knew there was a reason. He knew that killing Goliath was the reason why his father sent him on that very day.

Friend, you and I were sent here by our Heavenly Father but many got here and forgot about the reason completely. Most people don’t even bother about the reason for their existence while some others kept running from their “cause” rather than confronting it.

Whether you like it or not, there is a cause and until you confront it and fulfil it your throne in life will elude you. Your throne is tied to the cause. Once David did the needful by confronting Goliath, he arrived on his throne.

Hear this:

John 18:37 “Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth…”

A day came that Jesus was asked his cause and without mincing words, he reeled it out clearly. Even though he has not been talking while on trial but when the discussion came to the issue of purpose he spoke up.
