RUN THE ERRAND-2
1Samuel 17:15 “But David went and returned from Saul to feed his father’s sheep at Bethlehem.”

1Samuel 17:17 “And Jesse said unto David his son, Take now for thy brethren an ephah of this parched corn, and these ten loaves, and run to the camp to thy brethren;”

1Samuel 17:18 “And carry these ten cheeses unto the captain of their thousand, and look how thy brethren fare, and take their pledge.”

…From yesterday…

Joseph ran errand for Jacob and ended up as Prime Minister in Egypt against all odds. Saul ran errand for his father and ended up on the throne of Israel.

Ironically, David ran errand for his father and collected the throne from Saul. It’s all about serving and running errand for fathers.

Jesus came and did exactly that in a higher dimension of course. Hear him:

John 6:38 “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.”

In other words, Jesus made us understand that he came all the way to our world running errands for his Father, no wonder he ended up on the throne with a name that is above any other name. He ended up with the greatest throne ever.

Friend, could it be that your throne has eluded you because you dodge errands? I think it’s high time you sit down and consider all the errands you’ve been dodging or dodged that are pointers to your throne.

Service is the shortcut to your enthronement, dodge it and remain stagnant. Learn this wisdom from Jesus:

Matthew 23:11 “But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.”

Matthew 20:27 “Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave.”

Matthew 20:28 “That is what the Son of Man has done: He came to serve, not be served–and then to give away his life in exchange for the many who are held hostage.” (MSG)

Friend, I’ve come to discover that it is not about the errand, it is all about “YOUR THRONE”.
