UNDERSTAND TIMING-3
1Samuel 17:15 “But David went and returned from Saul to feed his father’s sheep at Bethlehem.”

Jesus was asking the doctors of the law questions, learning and soaking in answers. Put another way, he was killing his lion and bear. That was why it was impossible for Jesus to fail when he got to the place of manifestation.

He has sat with the Father and the fathers, in the process he picked up wisdom to combat Goliath! Friend, the time spent with the Father can never be a waste. It is a time of taking root downward so that you can bear fruits upward.

If you don’t understand divine timing, the enemy will take undue advantage of you. The bible said some interesting things about time:

Ecclesiastes 3:1 “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:”

Ecclesiastes 3:2 “A time to be born and a time to die a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted”

Ecclesiastes 3:3 “A time to kill and a time to heal a time to break down and a time to build up”

David knew when to go to war and when to train for war! He went after the Father’s business. In the critical battles of life, you must be like the children of Issachar:

1Chronicles 12:32 “And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.”

Jesus was told that Lazarus was sick but he didn’t go until four days after he was dead and buried (John 11), he understood timing. To me it is easier to heal the sick than to raise the dead, but divine timing means waiting for God’s signal before moving.

Jesus moved at the impulse of heaven and Lazarus came back to life.

Beloved, do kill your lion and bear before facing Goliath; then spend time with the Father, ask Him for the time.
