…From yesterday…

Goliath called out and the armies of Israel chose to yield to fear, intimidation and Goliath himself and they ran off. Goliath was their master dictating how each day will turn out for them until David showed up.

Over the years I have watched myself suffer like this as well. I didn’t understand this principle and I paid dearly for it. Sometimes God gives me a vision to do something and I answer Him yes but in the real sense I go and obey another master, for example, when He asked me to start writing Lift almost five (5) years ago, I answered yes but then I developed some strange fears.

I started asking myself some questions; how will I start? How will I fund it? Will people read it? Where will I get the time to write daily? These and several other questions kept popping up in my head and I finally dropped the idea. I guess if not for the mercies of God Lift might not have been in existence today or probably someone else will be doing the writing.

Now, I understand that even though God called and gave me the idea, I went and received instructions from “master fear” who simply concluded that I should drop the idea.

That is the scenario in many lives; many people want to build businesses but their master, “lack of resources” by name told them to drop the idea and as servants sheepishly agreed.

Friend, what has the devil been using against you? Fear, intimidation, superior qualifications, weight and size, financial muscles and the likes are masters that have indirectly controlled our lives but the Lord is exposing them to you now.

Goliath used all those masters to control the entire army of Israel until David showed up.
