1Samuel 17:9 “If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.”
Money, fame and things are suppose to be serving us not the other way round.
Many people in life and destiny only move at the impulse of money. Many will forfeit church and spiritual activities when they hear that they can make money somewhere. That’s a typical example of money or a boss calling and people yielding like a servant.
Who or what is bigger than God in your life? In what areas of your life is God struggling with you? Whose voice is stronger than that of God in your life? Hear this:
Romans 6:16 “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?”
Romans 6:18 “Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.”
Romans 6:19 “I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.”
Paul showed us in Romans 6 above the same Goliath principle. He shows us the things that contest to make us servants such as sin and the flesh and he equally told us to rather yield to righteousness and holiness.
The good thing about it is that he said, “…even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.” Beloved, yielding is an act of our will. You can decide who you will yield to.
Goliath called out and the armies of Israel chose to yield to fear, intimidation and Goliath himself and they ran off. Goliath was their master dictating how each day will turn out for them until David showed up.
