BECOME A MAN-6

BECOME A MAN-6
1Samuel 17:8 “And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.”

1Samuel 16:12 “And he sent and brought him in Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said Arise anoint him: for this is he.”

…From yesterday…

Beloved, could it be that the reason God has not been able to entrust the anointing to you is because of a foul and offensive character?

I have since discovered that the problem of many “men” is their character. Most men are oppressive, abusive, rude and not submissive. Most put up this attitudes in order to prove they’re men but unfortunately those are qualities that disqualifies them from God’s best.

Goliath was oppressive, abusive and rude. So rude, that he insulted God! That was why God brought his own man in the person of David who was rather a deliverer, well cultured and humble.

Appearing big and terrifying does not make a man. It is not about face value, it is the content you carry inside that shows if you’re God’s choice or not.

You don’t need to shout and look intimidating before everybody calls you a man, but at the same time you must not be a coward or timid, this brings me to the next quality of a man.

2Samuel 10:7 “And when David heard of it, he sent Joab, and all the host of the mighty men.”

2Samuel 10:12 “Be of good courage and let us play the men for our people, and for the cities of our God: and the LORD do that which seemeth him good.”

Another quality of a man is courage. This does not mean you’re tall, intimidating and terrifying. Courage is an inner strength birthed from the place of encounter with the Living God.

To be continued…
