BECOME A MAN-1
1Samuel 17:8 “And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.”

1Samuel 17:10 “And the Philistine said I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.”

When Goliath reeled out his threats, he specifically asked for a man who can match him and probably win him. The devil knew it will take a man to defeat him but he also knew there was none in Israel or so he thought.

Beloved, the devil gave us a clue to who can match and defeat him and he defines him as “a man”. A man in this context is not talking about the male gender, it is talking about someone who is mature and who takes cognizance of spiritual details.

Note that there are no male or female spirits. Anyone can fit into the description of a man. It will interest you to know that God Himself testify about David being a man:

Acts 13:22 “And when he had removed him, HE RAISED UP UNTO THEM David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony and said I have found David the son of Jesse, A MAN after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.”

1Samuel 13:14 “But now thy kingdom shall not continue the LORD hath sought him A MAN after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.”

God didn’t just call David “a man”, He calls him a man after his own heart. The devil knew that it will take a man to do a man’s job and he went round the camp of the armies of Israel and couldn’t find a single man, so he released Goliath to go harass them.
