KNOW GOD-5
1Samuel 17:36 “Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied THE ARMIES OF THE LIVING GOD.”

1Samuel 17:37 “David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go and the LORD be with thee.”

3) THE LIVING GOD: David also said God is a living God. That’s the difference between Christianity and every other religion on this planet. We are the only ones who can boldly say we serve a God who is active, alive, living and moving.

Beloved, our God is not dead. He died and rose and He is alive forevermore. David knew Goliath’s gods were long dead, that’s if they ever lived, and buried and can never come to his aid.

Friend, don’t ever let any mortal intimidate you with any god that is dead, it is only our God that is alive and living. One of the major reasons why Saul and the armies of Israel were running away from Goliath is because they didn’t know their God is alive and present. This also accounts for why many people including Christians run away from issues confronting them.

Many believers knew they’re serving a Living God simply because their pastors said so. They didn’t know God is tangible, real and can be called upon anytime and anywhere. Beloved, God is not a pigment of our imagination, a myth or folklore, He is ever living and can always show up when called.

If Saul, Eliab and others knew God can show up for them, they’ll know Goliath is a piece of cake.

Friend, no matter what life throws at you, never doubt the efficacy and efficiency of our God. Hear this:

Psalms 135:15 “The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.”
