1Samuel 17:1 “Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim.”

We saw from our focal scripture that when the enemy wanted attacking Israel, he started from Judah. We know from history that Judah was the third born son of Israel. The first was Reuben and the second Simeon. Jacob’s twelve sons were the men that eventually became the twelve tribes of Israel.

I would think if the enemy want to strike he should at least start from the first born but no, he didn’t, he started from the third. Why did the devil do this?

Judges 1:1 “Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them?”

Judges 1:2 “And the LORD said Judah shall go up behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.”

The truth is that, the devil is not daft, he knows who and what to attack. The Lord, told Israel when they asked who should attack the Canaanites first, that Judah should go first because He has delivered the land into his hand. In order words, the whole land of promise is in the hand of Judah.

In the same vein, whatever you’re looking for in life and destiny is in the hand of Judah. The word “land” as used here, is not just a physical space, it is a representation of the entirety of the desires of man on this planet.

The word “land” as used here includes promotion, progress, success, healing, health, marriage, children, finances, business breakthrough and so on. Everything is in the hands of Judah, so tell me why the devil will not attack Judah first?

The enemy simply went for a target that contains all the treasures of the earth. Jehovah God Himself committed it into the hands of Judah. By the way what or who is Judah?
