DEMONIC STRATEGY-1
1Samuel 17:1 “Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim.”

Beloved, the enemy will always start their attack from the point of provocation. Notice carefully that when they wanted starting the battle, they stepped unto the plot of land that belonged to Judah.

If they had stayed on their own land and make noise, Israel might not be bothered but they didn’t do that. They stepped upon Judah which is a key portion of the land of Israel to show their intent to fight. When the enemy stands on the plot that belongs to you, know he has drawn the battle line and you must respond accordingly.

I discovered from this story that the enemy doesn’t go into battle without a strategy. It will therefore be suicidal for the believer to rush into battle ill-prepared. The interesting thing however is that; the enemy’s strategy has been the same from the Garden of Eden till now.

It is what I call the “serpentine technique”. When a python attacks its prey, it coils itself around it and as the prey tries to breath, it squeezes it till life drains out of the prey. Once dead, the python can then swallow it.

The serpentine technique is also called the circuitous, winding, roundabout or containment technique. It has to do with building a siege around a person, town, people, office, business or career and squeezing it till it dies.

Daniel 1:1 “In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.”
