WEEP NOT-1

WEEP NOT-1
Luke 7:13 “And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.”

If you have ever lost a loved one before, you’ll agree with me that the tears will not just be a once and for all thing. Each time you remember the person there is every likelihood that you’ll shed tears.

This woman was a widow, she had lost her husband in time past which always brings tears from her eyes. The devil knew this so well and wanted to compound her sorrow. He then took away what seems to be her other source of joy, her precious son.

The devil is not just a thief who steals joy, he is a dispeller of sorrow. He always want man to cry, weep and sorrow. Why does he do this? He knows that:

Nehemiah 8:10b “…the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine…”

Proverbs 17:22 “A cheerful heart is good medicine!”(NIV)

Proverbs 17:22 “A cheerful disposition is good for your health…” (MSG)

The devil knows the strength and health of the believer are locked up inside a container called “joy”. This is why you must not allow the devil steal your joy.

If he steals your joy, you lose your strength and of course you become weak. If he takes your joy, you also lose your health. Sorrow injures not just the soul but also the spirit. A sorrowful man is warming up for the grave. Hear this:

Proverbs 15:13 “A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.”

Beloved, don’t let the enemy steal your joy but in case he has stolen your joy in one area of life or the other I Have good news for you; WEEP NOT!

Jesus met this woman and his first statement was weep not. I also prophetically declare it to you this morning, “Weep not”. It doesn’t matter how long you have been shedding those tears, hear this:

To be continued…
