Luke 7:13 “And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.”
Beloved, when you are compassionate God has a way of paying you back. It might not even be the person you helped that will come back to help you. You can help a Black man and God will use a White man to pay you back because He is the Ultimate Rewarder.
The empathy principle is one of the best kept secrets of successful salesmen all over the world. Hear this:
Matthew 20:34 “So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight and they followed him.”
Jesus had compassion on some blind folks and he touched their eyes and they received their sight. But something happened afterwards, they followed him! That’s the secret to making sales!
If your product cannot “empathize” with your customers, your sales will be low. How do I mean? As a salesman or woman; in fact, no matter what you’re doing in life, don’t just struggle to sell your products. Rather, let your product address a specific dare need in the life of your customers.
When your emphasy is on selling, you’re only trying to solve your own problems but empathy means your product meets a particular need and offers satisfaction to the client.
Jesus “sold” his services to this blind folks and they followed him. What is your product doing for another? Is your organization just profit driven or empathy driven. I’ve met salesmen who were begging me to buy their products because they have not eaten since morning! They don’t care if I need their product or not, all they want is to make sales. That is apathy.
A good salesman makes you see what the product will do for you. Jesus simply empathized with those blind folks and they followed him.
Friend, in different situations of life, you will always have something to give and contribute. It is not enough to pity people, step in and do something about their situation.
