WRONG CROWD-1
Luke 7:12 “Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.”

One of the worst things that can happen to a man in life is to find himself in the wrong crowd or company. This was the situation of this woman.

A root cause of her problem in life was that she was moving with the wrong crowd. She had no helper around just mockers and sympathizers. These folks have been hanging around her without providing solutions to any of her problems.

They were there when her husband died and they have assembled again to wail with her when her son died. They are sympathizers not destiny helpers.

Many people feel safe in the crowd of people who pity them. These are people who must have been telling her tales of woes of how a similar thing happened to another woman they knew in another city.

Jesus have been moving around doing wonders and miracles but nobody ever told this woman about the miracle worker. I am sure after the raising of her son back to life and she had cause to reflect, she would have wished she had met Jesus before the demise of her husband.

Beloved, hang out with people who are forward thinking and miracle carriers. Just a chance meeting with the crowd of Jesus and Jesus himself restored her son back to life.

Friend, what has your crowd been doing to you? What tales have they been telling you? Have they ever told you about the unlimitedness of God? When last did your crowd talk about Jesus?

May you not meet tragedy before meeting and having an encounter with Jesus. Don’t wait for a chance meeting with Jesus when the devil has already struck.

Be like Lazarus and his sisters:

John 11:1 “Now a certain man was sick named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.”
