Luke 7:12 “Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold there was a dead man carried out the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.”

A male is a symbol of strength and power. Wherever you see the male gender, there is a feeling of security and protection. A male by design is stronger than the female.

He is a symbol of dedication, focus, foresight, advancement and commitment. God made him a provider, a gardener and a hard worker. He is designed by God to provide for his household. Hear this:

1Timothy 5:8 “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.”

The male figure matter so much to God and to a home. I am not castigating the female gender, not at all but just stating the obvious from the word. The devil understood what the male figure represents in the life of this woman and he attacked everything male in her life.

The devil started by killing her husband, a symbol of strength and didn’t stop there. He knew the son would one day grow up and vend for his mother so he took him too. The devils mission is to kill, steal and destroy:

John 10:10 “The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

The devil came and carried out his assignment in the life of this woman but unfortunately for him, Jesus showed up. Jesus came with a mandate to undo the deeds of the enemy.

The devil came and destroyed everything that represents power in the life of this woman.

Friend, I want you to know that by talking about what power represents, it is not just about a physical male figure. It goes far beyond that.
