AUTHORITY-2
Luke 7:8 “For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go and he goeth and to another, Come and he cometh and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.”

…From yesterday…

Authority is the right to command, that is, the right or power to enforce rules or give orders. It also talks about the holder of such power.

It is the power to act on behalf of somebody else, or official permission to do something.

Power or dynamo as it were is direct or demonstrative power that causes a reaction. In order words, authority is not physical while raw power is.

This centurion understood this phenomenon so well. All he does is to give orders, soldiers will carry it out. He knew that likewise all Jesus needed to do was to give the order, angels will obey and demons will flee.

Friend, what Jesus has is what we as believers have as well. Hear this:

Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

We have been giving “exousia” over the “dunamis” of the enemy. It doesn’t matter how terrifying the powers of the enemy may appear, you don’t need to fret all you need to do is to release your authority. You don’t need to struggle with the enemy, just give the command,

A traffic policeman does not need to go use his physical muscles to stop a moving truck, all he needs to do is to raise his hands and give the command and the biggest of all trucks will come to a halt. That’s who we are as believers!

Hear this:

Psalms 18:44 “As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.”

Psalms 18:45 “The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.”

Such is the power we have. Once we declare strangers, principalities and powers obeys.
