THE BUILDER-3

THE BUILDER-3
Luke 7:4 “And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying That he was worthy for whom he should do this:”

Luke 7:5 “For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.”

…From yesterday…

Matthew 25:39 “Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?”

Matthew 25:40 “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

Jesus made us realize that when we build the lives of others, we are actually doing it on his behalf and God does not forget our labour of love. Permit me to digress a little:

Acts 10:1 “There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,”

Acts 10:2 “A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.”

Acts 10:3 “He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.”

Acts 10:4 “And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said What is it Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.”

In the account of Acts 10, we saw the story of a centurion. I’ve since read some narrations that believed strongly that it was the same centurion as the one in our focal scripture and I couldn’t agree less. I believe it strongly too.

We were told in Acts 10 that Cornelius gave arms and what he did went up to God as a memorial. We were not told the arms and I want to believe part of it was the synagogue he built. Friend, Cornelius got more than just getting healing for one of his servant, he got his entire house saved!

To be continued…
