Luke 7:4 “And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying That he was worthy for whom he should do this:”

Luke 7:5 “For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.”

…From yesterday…

The word “build” as used in our focal scripture is from a Greek word which is translated as “to construct” and “to edify”. In order words, this man didn’t just build a physical structure, he edifies the nation as well.

Here is the gist, a way of catching the attention of heaven is by simply becoming a builder. One who edifies and invests in other lives. A live builder will always attract God. The question is; who are you building? What is your contribution into other people’s lives?

Friend, those new staff in your office, what’s your commitment to them? Are you one of those showing them around? Are you helping them understand their roles and duties? Who are you encouraging to go back to school? Who are you encouraging to acquire new skills? Who are you setting up in business?

Beloved, that’s the way to build “synagogues” for our God. Remember what Jesus said:

Matthew 25:35 “For I was an hungred and ye gave me meat I was thirsty and ye gave me drink I was a stranger, and ye took me in”

Matthew 25:36 “Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.”

Matthew 25:37 “Then shall the righteous answer him, saying Lord, when saw we thee an hungred and fed thee? or thirsty and gave thee drink”

Matthew 25:38 “When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in or naked, and clothed thee?”

Matthew 25:39 “Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?”

Matthew 25:40 “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
