POSTERITY-2

POSTERITY-2
Exodus 17:12 “But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.”

…From yesterday…

Many people didn’t remember nor reckon with Hur but God did. When it was time to build the Ark of Covenant, God couldn’t use any other person but Bezaleel, the grandson of Hur! The singular act of holding up the hand of Moses didn’t go unnoticed by heaven.

Friend, don’t you ever think your assignment is too little or inconsequential. Always strive to give whatever is committed into your hand your best shot. Hur held up the hand of his pastor and God compensated him through his grandson.

God is the one that can compensate the way nobody can. He sees your secret labours and will surely reward you openly. Hear this:

Genesis 49:10 “The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet…”

Judah means praise, and he did it so well that God promised to enthrone him forever. God said authority will never depart from him and He kept that promise. When Judah’s “son” David showed up, he followed in the footstep of his father. He even went further by becoming a man after God’s heart and the legacy lives on:

1Kings 9: 5 “Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.”

Jeremiah 33: 17 “For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;”

David’s descendants became the heir apparent to the leadership of Israel even to our contemporary days!

Beloved, what are you doing, especially for God today that will transcend you? What legacy are you leaving? What will posterity say when you’re gone?

Love you BiG
