Exodus 17:9 “And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.”

…From yesterday…

2. A HEART THAT TRUST HIM
Psalms 28:7 “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth and with my song will I praise him.”

This is similar to the first but there is a great difference. Many people knows that God really and truly exist but many don’t trust Him. I’ve heard people tell me before that, “If God truly hears and answers prayers why is their own case like this!”

There are many people in church who feels God hears people but not them. How do you walk with a Personality you don’t trust? One of the things that endeared God to David was his absolute trust even when in the valley of the shadow of death.

3. A FORGIVING HEART
Genesis 27:41 “And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand then will I slay my brother Jacob.”

I keep wondering why God will simply not work with Esau and discovered that apart from been a profane man, he was equally unforgiving. God won’t work with a man who nurses unforgiveness. Esau refused to let go of a hurt and God couldn’t work with him.

4. A SOFT & CONTRITE HEART
Exodus 7:14 “And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh’s heart is hardened, he refuseth to let the people go”

Pharaoh could have been a great king like Cyrus. This king despite not knowing God, He still worked with him. Pharaoh was a man with a hardened heart. Hardened in this context does not mean wicked as it were, it means unbending, not flexible and unwillingness to change.

I’ve met a lot of people who refused to change their minds or hearts till they perish.
