Exodus 17:8 “Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.”

…From yesterday…

Genesis 39:2 “And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.”

Genesis 39:21 “But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.”

God was with Joseph every day of his life. He was with him when he was sold as a slave, while in prison and in the palace. God is addicted and obsessed with us. He is that friend that sticks closer than a brother. Whatever we are going through is not as important as having an unshakable faith in the presence of God.

His awesome presence is what will get us through the trying period. He is right there working behind the scene to make everything work together for our good!

Never doubt God’s presence, never give the enemy a handle or foothold in your life. The devil is always prowling, looking for a platform to stand to afflict the believer. One of his favourite platform is doubt.

The children of Israel doubted God and what happened next was an attack.

Exodus 17:8 “Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.”

Friend, I want you to think deep and consider your life. Which platform is the enemy standing on to attack you? Are you testing and doubting God somewhere?

In our focal scripture, the enemy attacked the children of Israel because they don’t know if God is with them or not. Doubting the presence of God perforates our wall of defense against the enemy.

It is high time we shut every door of doubt and unbelief. Remember Peter:

Matthew 14:31 “And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt”

Peter was doing fine, walking on water but once doubt set in, he began to sink. Friend, could it be you’re sinking in life because you’re doubting the presence of God?
