DEMONIC PLATFORM-1
Exodus 17:8 “Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.”

In this meditation we are going to be doing some studies from the Book of Exodus chapter seventeen (17), picking up vital and valuable lessons as the Holy Spirit inspires.

In our focal scripture the Bible says, “Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel…” The word “then” shows there was an event preceding this action. We will need to find out about this event in order to have a better understanding of this demonic attack on Israel.

Here is the event:

Exodus 17:7 “And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying Is the LORD among us, or not?”

Exo 17:7 “He named the place Massah (Testing-Place) and Meribah (Quarreling) because of the quarreling of the Israelites and because of their testing of GOD when they said, “Is GOD here with us, or not?”” (MSG)

Before the attack by the Amalekites, the children of Israel murmured and complained against Moses and invariably God. The most terrible thing they did was to doubt God and His power to help them. They quarreled against God, making Him a liar.

They tempted God saying, “…Is the LORD among us, or not?” Mark you, this was barely two months after they left Egypt.

These folks had seen the Red Sea parted, the Egyptian army drowned and Manna falling down from heaven. God had fed them with quails, sweetened the bitter water of Marah for them. They had seen the pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night.

Despite all these outstanding miracles they were still doubting if God was with them or not! They doubted the presence of God and this gave the devil the platform and audacity to attack them.

Friend, doubt is a platform the enemy always stand on to attack the believer. You must never give the devil a handle in your affairs. Doubting the capability of God gets the devil excited.
