Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as though you were working for the Lord and not for people.” (GNT)

…From yesterday…

God didn’t create anything average, it is man that has introduced the concept of averageness or mediocrity. Can you imagine God creating a man with just one leg or with incomplete body parts? Can you imagine the world without a functional eco system?

I strongly believe that God could have made the heaven and the earth in just one day, but He choose to do it in six days because He wanted doing an excellent job!

As a matter of fact, the only thing God was not pleased with after creation was that man was all alone and He didn’t just walk off and say, “Adam will manage”. He went ahead and gave him a wife.

Everything God represent and stand for are all excellent. Hear this:

Psalms 8:9 “O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!”

He went as detailed as saying His Name is excellent. If something as common as name is excellent to God, I guess you should take a second look at your name!

He went ahead on other areas as well:

Isaiah 12:5 “Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.”

Job 37:23 “Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict”

Daniel 5:12 “Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding…were found in the same Daniel…”

What a Great and Mighty God we serve! He described His Acts as excellent, His Power and His Spirit as well. There is no trace of mediocrity in Him and we cannot do less, if truly we are His offspring.

Hebrews 11:4 “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh”
