Job 9:20 “If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse”

…From yesterday…

Prayer is a Master key against any satanic door and onslaught. Peter and Judas both “sold out Jesus”. They both betrayed him but while Judas self-condemn himself and finally committed suicide, Peter moved on from there.

He went ahead to become the Foundational Apostle of the New Testament church. The same Peter preached the same Jesus he denied and thousands gave their life to Christ. He wrought several notable miracles. At a time even his shadow was healing people!

How did Peter become such an anointed man that overcame guilt and self-condemnation? Luke 22:31 & 32 gave us the answer!

Peter survived because Jesus prayed for him! When next the enemy throws this pitfall at you, take it to the Lord in prayer. If Peter survived, you will survive.

Remember, don’t just pray, you must do it with confidence. Hear this:

Hebrews 4:16 “Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].” (AMP)

God has made this provision for us and we must use it. He knows self-condemnation can make us timid and hid from him like Adam, so he declared that we should not worry but rather come boldly, fearlessly and confidently to Him in prayers!

Act 9:26 “Back in Jerusalem he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him. They didn’t trust him one bit.”

If it was you and I in the early church and we have somebody like Saul come to church, we might likely stop attending that particular church. We will point accusing fingers at him and might prefer him dead and in Hell rather than fellowship with him.

To be continued…
