3. BE READY TO BURY YOUR EGO
Friend, we must all make up our minds to remain humble in our own eyes. It is a terrible thing for God to humble a man. As a matter of fact it is a wrong prayer for you to ask God to humble you.

If you have studied the story of Pharaoh you’ll understand what it means to bury your ego rather than allow God humble you.

Exodus 10:7 “And Pharaoh’s servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed”

After seeing the wonders of God and the plagues in Egypt, all the magicians came to a unanimous decision that Pharaoh should let the children of Israel go but he refused bluntly. He had earlier made this funny statement:

Exodus 5: 2 “And Pharaoh said Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go”

Pharaoh refused to humble himself, his pride and arrogance made him challenge God to a fight. God simply took him to the red sea to prove to him that he is just mortal. The clay cannot be greater than the potter!

1Peter 5:6 “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:”

2Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”

Friend, bury your ego before your ego bury you in the red sea!
