You must know that God is only committed to His word. His word is His bound. If you want Him to travel with you all the way, then hold His word.

The truth of the matter is this:

John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

The word of God is God. Where His word is He is. You cannot separate God from His word!

The word come as used in our focal scripture is also a signal to start or to go ahead. I have met several people who start different stuff without a go ahead from the Holy Spirit. It was when they crashed they realised that even though they had the word they didn’t have a go ahead or a word of release.

You cannot start until you have a go ahead, never forget that. In athletics you will be disqualified if you start running without hearing the blast of the gun. It is called beating the gun.

Many people have beat the gun in the race of life which has disqualified them before they even got started. I want you to settle down and return back to the place of your last obedience. Trace your step back to the last junction where you heard God. He is still there waiting.

2 Samuel 5:24 “When you hear the sound of shuffling in the trees, get ready to move out. It’s a signal that GOD is going ahead of you to smash the Philistine camp.””(MSG)

David was the most successful king in Israel but we can see from the scripture above that he never makes a move until he has a go ahead word. His go ahead word was “When you hear the sound of shuffling in the trees…”. We all need such signals before starting anything in life.

Friend, wait for your word and when it finally comes, wait for the gun. Stop beating the gun of life.

You will not be disqualified in the race of destiny in Jesus name!
