Catching up moment-2

Catching up moment-2
Matthew 14:28 “And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.”

…From yesterday…

1. LACK OF PREPARATION: Many don’t make use of this moments because they are not prepared for it.

To prepare means, “To make something or someone ready for a specific future purpose”.

Preparation is never on the spur of the moment, it is well planned and well thought of. Many people lacked what it takes to snatch such moments in life because they’ve been doing the wrong things while waiting for the catching up moment.

Many are ill prepared. Example of a man who was prepared for his catching up moment or big break in life was David. David didn’t wake up one day and killed Goliath. He has been “killing Goliaths” in the form of the lion and the bear. He knew one day he’ll have to confront the Goliaths of life and was adequately prepared for that moment.

When Goliath eventually showed up, David simply brought his preparation and training to bare. Also remember that Goliaths always stand between us and our palaces so we must be prepared.

In the same vein, Peter was a fisher man and must have imagined the possibility of man walking on water! As soon as the opportunity presented itself, he ceased it!

Friend, people that miss their timing more than anything else have actual missed it in the place of preparation. God is fair to all and gives all men their time and chance but only the prepared catch up with the moment.

2. LACK OF VISION: Here is another reason why men miss their moments. Several men and women have never dreams of having a catching up moment. Many have never imagined it, talk more of ceasing it.

It has probably never occurred to the other eleven disciples that one day there might be such an opportunity. A typical example is the case of Joseph. Hear what he told the Butler:
