Midway battles-1

Midway battles-1
Matthew 14:24 “But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.”

Matthew 14:24 “But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.” (NKJV)

Our focal scripture was the account of a challenge that confronted the disciples of Christ when he gave them an assignment to cross over to the other side of the sea.

My focus in this meditation is the strategic nature of the demonic battle against them. Notice carefully that the devil didn’t stir up the sea against them until they got to the middle of the sea.

This is what I tag the midway battle. Friend, you must beware of this demonic attack which has consumed many. If the devil cannot stop you from starting the journey, he will definitely wait for you in the middle of the trip.

The middle here represents a critical junction in the assignment God has committed into your hand. A place where you need to make a critical or vital decision. Each time you need to make a destiny making decision, you must beware of this demonic appearance.

Don’t let the the devil mixup with what you’re doing. Don’t make decisions that are influenced by the devil. Beware of midway battles.

The storm arose when they were at the “middle of the sea” also means “when they were at the center”. I want you to know that because you’re in the center of God’s will for your life does not mean the enemy will leave you alone.

I’ve seen many people give up on God and bow to the enemy when issues of life came up. They heard God, they knew they were doing His will but couldn’t cope with the challenges the enemy threw at them.

Beloved, being in the center of God’s will attracts the enemy to you. He will always show up to test your resolve.

These folks were not in the middle of the sea because they wanted to, they were there by acting on divine instruction.

To be continued…
