2 Kings 4:4 “And when thou art come in, thou shalt shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and shalt pour out into all those vessels, and thou shalt set aside that which is full.”
Our God is a God of open secrets. The kingdom of God runs on covenant secrets.
Elisha gave this woman another interesting instruction and I want us to consider it carefully. He told her to enter into her house, lock herself and her children in before she starts the process leading to the miracle.
Why was he particular about the locking of the door?
Friend, every successful venture have something called “Trade secrets”. This is the driving force of the business. I’m glad to let you know that our God has secrets which He reveals to His children behind closed doors.
God is a God of secrets. Hear this:
Deuteronomy 29:29 “The secret [things belong] unto the LORD our God: but those [things which are] revealed [belong] unto us and to our children for ever, that [we] may do all the words of this law.”
Deuteronomy 29:29 “GOD, our God, will take care of the hidden things but the revealed things are our business. It’s up to us and our children to attend to all the terms in this Revelation.”(MSG)
You might not like the use of the word secret but God said He has secrets. The interesting thing however is that these secrets are revealed to us as His children, and to our own children to trade with.
I believe Elisha was simply telling this widow to operate Deuteronomy 29:29 with her children.
A man is as successful as the secrets that are revealed to him, which he operates with. The Bible says, “…the revealed things are our business.”
The onus therfore is on every Christian to search out covenants secrets to do business with.
Secrets are gotten behind closed doors. Come to think of it, if you see this woman pouring oil from a small jar into a big one and the big one is getting filled, will you buy such oil?
To be continued…
