Psalms 78:41 “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.”

…From yesterday…

If all those things are true and are still possible in our days, why are we not seeing much? The answer is not far fetched; we have simply limited the Limitless One!

God can live with a man without much showing in his life, the same way Jesus lived among his own people without doing many mighty works!

I want us to consider some of the reasons why men limits fhe Limitless God. You’ll equally realise that the same reasons are still very much with us.

So, what are these reasons:

1. TURNING BACK

Psalms 78:41 “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.”

The Bible says they turned back. To turn back simply means to stop following. It is not everyone coming to church that is actually following God. Many people actually appear to be following Him but their hearts are somewhere else.

Many have since stopped following God but putting up appearances. How do you know you’ve turned back from God? You know when other things takes His place in your life. The things that matter the most to you are the things you’re following.

When money, friends, your job, your career means more to you than God, you have turned back and have started following those things. When you can easily violate the instructions of God, you have turned back and God cannot help a man that is not following him.

If you’re following a man, you go where he goes, turn right when he turns right, stop when he stops and so on, likewise, you must do same with God.

When God is leading you to the North and you decided to turn to the south, you are simply doing your own stuff and God cannot help you. Never you turn back from the Lord.

In order words, don’t backslide!
